DR VS El Salvador Cancelled

Unfortunately the match in which the Dominican Republic was to face El Salvador was cancelled, due to the inability of the Dominican Football Federation to put together a team of footballers, which could face the Salvadoran national Football team. There are some discrepancies in the news released, since as it is widely known by Dominican football followers most of the most important Dominican Footballers are already in the Dominican Republic, either playing for the local leagues or on vacation from their foreign teams, as is the case with the striker Jonathan Faña, whom during his break is playing for the Santos FC based out of San Cristobal DR.

Dominican Republic VS El Salvador

Two very different teams which are El Salvador and Dominican Republic, with incomparable backgrounds and different experiences when it comes to Football, will clash it is said before El Salvador faces Trinidad And Tobago for a place in the Concacaf Gold Cup. This match will be anything but friendly, due to the fact that the Dominican team wants to prove to the world that they are not to be taken lightly. The Salvadoreans on the other side had a hard time defeating the inexperienced Dominicans back in 2011, in the World Cup preliminary matches and are bound to have an even harder time facing a more experienced Dominican squad, which recently defeated the Haitian squad 3-1 in March.
