Dominican Republic reaches new heights

The Dominican republic which stands undefeated for the year in part due to lack of friendly matches, has reached new heights by qualifying to the second round of the Caribbean Cup formerly know as the Digicel Cup. As stated before it’s a first for the island nation’s national Football team to defeat the likes of Dominica which eliminated them from the previous Caribbean Cup in 2010. The Dominican Republic defeated the host Barbados 2-1, tied with Aruba 2-2 and got its much awaited match against Dominica in which the Puerto Rico’s Islanders forward Jonathan Fana scored twice in one of his best performances yet to propel the DR. to the second round of the competition. These acomplishments are expected to to bring the DR. withing the group of FIFA/ Coca Cola's 100 footballing nations ranking. In the second round the DR. is to face the likes of Guadalupe, Martinique and an energized
